Live Line charters fishing report 7-3

Fishing Report 7-three-2011

Had Curtis Grant from Phoenix, AZ returned for far more NC off shore fishing with Eric and Joel. Went to the Gulf Stream searching for Mahi. Began in 120 feet with flying fish everywhere. Soon after a brief time period we had a modest Mahi on the brief flat line. Had good action in the early morning with fish every single 20 to thirty minutes. Joel caught the largest when a twenty Bull arrived in a crushed the quick spreader bar set up. We trolled out to the deep to try out out jigging for the Jacks. Joel caught a monster Almaco pushing 50 lbs. Following a couple of triple headers the men had sufficient and we went searching for some Grouper for dinner. Had 3 good Scamps right after a handful of drops on some inshore ledges. The afternoon bite slowed yet again (appears to be a pattern these days). The SW winds kicked up for the bumpy/moist experience home.
