Officially in the Billfish Club…on accident

Effectively we got to go out monday early morning and it was peaceful with a few hits but no hooksups till the drag went…and went…and went…right all around then I was pondering it was not a wahoo…which is what we had been expecting. After a prolonged fight and a small splash or two I was quite sure of it not currently being a Hoo’, then a jump around the boat showed us a Sailfish. Right after what seemed like an eternity we lastly gaffed it and acquired it in the boat and headed for residence. It was taken on a Williamson Blue and Pink Wahoo Catcher (that has now caught three wahoo, one Baracuda, 1 Skipjack, and now a sailfish) that did th damage,a fantastic hookup right in the front of the bottom jaw. We received him off the NE corner of Nauru near the Iju/Anibare districts line. When we obtained back we lastly acquired the beast weighed he was twenty.5kg and 225cm long (and I am 191cm…for this reason I obtained on the bow of the boat to get him off the ground to weigh him). He’s the most significant of the boat so far (a thirteen one/2 foot tinny 🙂 ) shattering the 11kg wahoo of a few months back. So I guess we’re officially in the Billfish club, thankfully starting at the reduce conclude of the spectrum.Attachment 193599Attachment 193600Attachment 193601Attachment 193602
