later Winter early spring BLue Fin season for Still THink’n

well…we have been ready to make three journeys for the Blue Fin out of Hatteras and Oregon inlet this 12 months…the winds have created all three journeys bumpy but manageable, I assume the 1st trip was the very best climate….

trip 1 was 27 February out of Hatteras…we ran to the 390 line and hooked up quite swiftly on the bent butt Planer rod, Pink and White Islander with horse Ballyhoo…Kenny had a hard time fighting with the Bent Butt on Stand up gear (which I have altered the butt to a shorter butt for stand up fighting) but stayed the course and landed this 110 pounder to kick off our year..

2nd Trip was thirteen March out of Oregon Inlet, started out all around the four hundred line and ended up acquiring our hookup in about 500 fathoms correct all around the 420 line..fish hit the lengthy rigger Pink and white G&ampH Sea witch with a medium Ballyhoo…this fish hit a trolled 50W and the fight was considerably less complicated for Mark with a correct stand up rod and Harness..This fish went 173 lbs and circumstances ended up sporty…

3rd trip was 26 March out of Oregon Inlet and this was the sportiest day of all but also made the largest fish for us this yr….there had been colleges of Hammerheads all over the place, Humpback whales creating their presence acknowledged and the fish have been snapping…this fish hit the right lengthy Pink and White Islander on Horse Ballyhoo, 480 line 800 fathoms…fish went seventy five inches and 234 lbs…they shut down the giant category six days later…..

Now there is some fascinating h2o relocating in off virginia Seaside, I think we’re gonna go check out that out tomorrow…..Bob
