Lahaina Harbor Tsunami Tuna

Aloha from Lahaina Harbor, Maui. Everybody over here is in recovery mode after the tsunami. There was some pretty critical injury, but practically nothing catastrophic. All 7 Start off Me Up boats left Lahaina Harbor in the center of Thursday evening or the wee hrs of Friday morning right after the tsunami warning sirens went off. The boats did not return right up until the Coast Guard reopened the harbor at about eight a.m. this morning. In total, the boats and their crews invested slightly more than forty hours straight on the water.

The time put in waiting, however, was not all misplaced. Captain Patrick of the Action made the decision to go fishing and landed this wonderful ahi yesterday morning.

Captain Patrick was solo and managed to boat the fish all by himself. The official bodyweight is not known because we don’t have a huge sufficient spring scale and the energy is nevertheless out at Lahaina Harbor so we can’t use our digital scale. The very best estimate of the ahi’s bodyweight is about 110 lbs. Captain Patrick was stoked with his fish and we’re all thrilled that everybody is securely back in the harbor. Start Me Up should be up and running once more very soon.

Hopefully the identical can be stated for every person else all around the state. There was some critical hurt done but hopefully everybody stayed risk-free and managed to salvage as considerably of their residence as feasible. Very good luck for a speedy recovery to absolutely everyone impacted in Hawaii, in the Pacific, and specially in Japan.

Aloha,
Jonny
